Polk County Public Schools is offering controlled open enrollment for the 2023-24 school year.
The process of controlled open enrollment gives students throughout Florida an opportunity to attend a school other than their zoned school.
Again, this enrollment opportunity relates to next school year: the 2023-2024 school year.
During controlled open enrollment, families seeking additional choice options can apply for placement in any school in the state that has not reached capacity and still has seats available.
PCPS is now accepting applications for controlled open enrollment.
Applications must be submitted online through Parent Portal. The deadline to submit an application is Friday, April 28.
Parents of students approved for transfers through the controlled open enrollment window will be notified by email once the enrollment period ends.
